Discovery
BUGS specializes in analyzing and interpreting the small details in order to get a handle on the BIG PICTURE. This happens when data are converted into usable information that helps our clients make informed decisions. We make it easy for our clients by compiling existing water quality, hydrology, permit compliance, landcover, and other data sources into an accessible format that facilitates data analysis, interpretation, and graphic visualization.

| Planning |
| BUGS is currently coordinating the Lower Dolores River Watershed Group, and is writing the Watershed Management Plan for the Animas Watershed Project. We have proven expertise in grant writing and preparing documents for watershed groups such as Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAP) and Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPP) in order to keep watershed monitoring and improvement projects on track for continued funding. BUGS was also instrumental in helping to develop the Southern Ute Indian Tribe Water Quality Program and continues to work as both a technical consultant and lab service provider to the Tribe. |
| Restoration |
Over the years working on river and wetland projects, we have developed partnerships with established experts in fluvial geomorphology, engineering, permitting, botany, agricultural systems, fisheries, and heavy equipment operation. The common thread between our multidisciplinary team is that we all value ecologically, functionally, and aesthetically desirable restoration work that stands the test of time. When it comes time for restoration, rely on BUGS to put together an experienced team for your project.
| Monitoring |
BUGS has a proven track record in all phases of wetland, lake, and stream monitoring from design and documentation to sampling, lab analyses, and reporting. One of the real benefits of working with BUGS is that we are database savvy, meaning your data will be delivered in whatever format works best in your data system including a GIS ready database. From installing and maintaining unsupervised stormwater collection systems to developing large format maps for site selection, BUGS has the tools to make your program successful.
